"In a game where it is kill or be killed, only few will live to the end..."

It is the year 2716 AD of the Ionic Era, most of the planet Earth's surface is covered in dense urban area, save a few mountains and parks that still preserve the lingering memory of nature almost one millenia ago. In an over populated futuristic city environment where the distance between living standards are high and solo survival are close, a game has been created and has evolved. A game filled with crime, danger and hunger. But not just a hunger for food, for fame, glory or even for the prize, but hunger spawned from a burning hate for the society that the people live in. For over 5 years this game has been running. It’s a modernized, if not, brutalized form of Capture the Flag, and the ever-present rumors say that whoever wins gets safety for their district, food and shelter for the rest of their bloodline and most importantly, freedom. Freedom from the oppression and power that the city council has played upon the city. Freedom to make choices that others are forbidden to make. The freedom to be individual and safe. To be who they wish to be.


The game is not actually legal or official, more of an underground thing under the surface of the city. It isn't the kind of game for the ill-prepared or hopeless of the poor either. There is no real way of officially entering, all that's needed is guile, nerve and wits to get you through to the prize. Then you are set to find the "Game Masters", the people who created and maintain the game. They will give you your "symbol", and once you have it, you're a subject to the cruel world that is the "Game".


The symbols themselves are strange. At first nothing more than glowing spheres only bigger than a marble, these "symbols" are tied to the energies that surround the strange Orb that is the centerpiece of the mysterious game. Energies that enhance mental capabilities. Psionic Energy.

The Orb is the goal of the entire game. But it was not created, only found. Whoever created it was of high state and power than that of mankind, but nobody will ever know. All that the few people that know is that this Orb has a large capacity of the ever present Psionic Energy. Everyone in this world has Psionic potential, but a fair number of people are just better at it than others. Psionic Energy is the matter surrounding the mental and psychic capabilities of the mind, ranging from different and sometimes personalized abilities that are inherently given to a person. There is no choice in the matter. Abilities vary from telekinetic ability, telepathy, mental influence and other things.

The Orb and the symbols themselves can increase the Psionic potential of a person. This is how the game caps the limit. For there are those who have mastered Psionic capability, they cannot participate in the game, lest they be driven mad by an overload of Psi to their minds due to the added Psi from the Symbols, and the Orb itself. Furthermore, two symbols may be able to help find the Orb, but it is not possible as since two symbols magnify the added Psi and once again leading to an overload of Psi, resulting in madness or death.


The symbols are strange however. They seem like small spheres, but once they "connect" to a person's living consciousness, they take up the form of a small trinket the person may hold dear deep in their heart, whether they know it or not. Anything, be it a chesspiece, a card or a charm. This is not remarkable in any way, but once that person is truly dead, the symbol will detach from the consciousness of that person and morph back into its original form. Each symbol have enough Psi stored within them to allow even the most average person to have basic Psionic capabilities, which is pretty big.


There are no real teams in this game. For what is a game in a "dog eats dog" world to have teams? People may say they work together, but in their minds the thoughts of betrayal in the name of reaching the prize are strong. The hunger everybody has for the rewards is stronger than any "friends" found. This is why people seldom find strong bonds of friendship, or more so love.


Where there are no teams, neither is there any set time limit. No real set rules either, save one:

Find the Orb, and get it to the "Pylon".
The "Pylon" Moves every night at 3 am, so that it is exactly 150 miles away from the orb. There is no telling where it may be.
Other than that, all else is allowed. Do as you please or must in order to reach the goal. Any means necessary to retrieve that Orb.

The symbols can aid in the finding of this Orb. The Psionic charge in both pull to each other lightly like a magnet. The symbol will radiate a glow when one gets close to the Orb (About 10 Metres), but other methods may be necessary if one does not want to crawl around across the massive cityscape to get to their goal. Methods can include espionage, stealing infomation, bribery, coercion, threatening and all else that may be legal or illegal to reach the prize. There are even Psi Detectors that may help in one's search for the Orb, but these are very rare and expensive, and very noticeable unless you aren't of the government.


Another thing to mention is that this game is underground. Illegal, therefore the government will be on its toes to hunt down those within this game. Players must stay low whilst on their hunt for the Orb if they want to survive. Noticeable things can be full battles with each other in the streets, excessive use of Psionic Energy, espionage and other activities. Be like the shadows and good hunting.


However, beneath the surface of this "every-person-for-themself" game, there lies a darker secret. A secret that only the game masters themselves know. The game itself takes from a larger force. A larger energy, the Psionic Dimension. The playing field is not just some inanimate field of buildings and architecture with innocent people moving around. The Orb itself is a connection to a Psionic Dreamworld. The area all around the Orb and the pylon it belongs to is "alive". Alive and hungry. In this way, the field is never as it appears to be. The city area in which the game may be set can change and morph, sometimes even spawn obstacles. This makes the already dangerous risk even more risky and deadly.


The workings of the Psionic Dreamworld are quite unpredictable at best. But a fact is that the strongest of the changing city is set around the strongest charge of Psionic Energy, in this case the Orb. This phenomenon is alive as said, with a sort of living conscience. The cityscape area around the Orb will morph and change, the strongest of the change being around the Orb and getting weaker over the distance. The cityscape does not take sides, but it will change radically around a being with strong Psionic potential. The cityscape can be merciless and unpredictably unforgiving. One more thing is that the changing city phenomenon is more of a mental illusion beneath reality. Only those with the Symbols or the Orb itself can see it. But if there are civillians or other people without Symbols nearby, their energies and auras will negate this phenomenon.


The science behind this "living city" phenomenon is hard to explain, other than the obvious it is connected to the mysterious Orb that plays goal in the game. But some believe that the dreams and nightmares of people take place in the role of feeding this Psionic Dreamworld. The Orb in turn feeds from this and energizes the landscape around it with the emotional and kinetic energy of various dreams, giving the chance to change itself into whatever seems fit. Whatever it "chooses", the field is always dangerous to play on regardless. In some cases, the Orb may spawn its own "guardians" to protect itself.


There are many different motivations for a player to join. Many do it to get a place in a gang or an organization. Some believe that it’s a kind of revolt against the government. Some just do it for fame. Some do it for the prize. But others... Others do it to protect those they love.


And so it is. There can only be one in this world. One person to enter the "Game" and survive to the end. The tensions are high and the value of friendship is naught. For only the Orb matters to all. Only One may win this game. But the fates of everyone who enter, will change dramatically over the course of destiny.

° ●Bio: Cornelia was born in a family of mercenaries. Still. her parents died in one of the attacks that were lead by the rebels towards the government. She was young enough not to remember anything. She was raised by her uncle. He was a drunk with the ideals of a true revolutionary. He wanted to change the government from the inside, even if that meant a coup d'etat. Those ideals, soon got into Cornelia which lead her to join the training camp of the rebels. The moment, she took a sniper into her hands, she knew that job would be perfect for her.

As soon as she could, she joined the Sniper team, just because she loved the art of sniping. She was always cold at her targets, as she thought of them as her parents killer, as they were also killed by a sniper. In her next year, she began to do minor works, of covering rebel leaders, soldiers, being a long range body guard, etc. They were easy jobs for her, since young she had been good at taken shots, but the only thing she regrets was a cold night were she was drowsy and due to her sleepiness, the rebels lost one of the greatest commanders they had. She could not live with the burden.

Ever since that night, she cannot forget her wrongdoing or the reason why she is fighting for. She became cold towards others as she closed the gap between her outer self and her inner self, as she tries to forgive herself. This is her obsessive year, so she has just arrived for a new carnage. In the summer, she had cleaned her favorite sniper rifle and got a new sword for her close quarters fighting.
Personality: Have you ever seen a girl that is all too quite, but is too determined to finish something? Cornelia is that type of girl. She is usually a quiet person when it comes to starting a conversation or simply answering in class, but when she is serious, she is serious. She tends to get too worked out with the jobs as she does her best to accomplish them as best as she can. She has a warm heart, but will not reveal it until someone speaks to her first. She is kind of the tsundere character, but she also understands instructions and orders the first time, which makes her a great scout and has an efficiency rate of 99%

Agenda: She joined the game to increase her powers in order to fulfill that obsession of finding who killed her protection target and get the revenge she wants.

As shown above, Mayren has pink hair and soft sapphire eyes. The tone of her skin is fair, and she has a slight figure. She's wearing the above clothing and garments.

° ●Background:
Mayren was born on the 1 May 2699 AD, into an average life in the London District of the vast cityscape wilderness. Her parents weren't rich nor were they poor. They lived in a small house, one of the few that remain near the huge apartment blocks of the city. Mayren's life was humble and quiet at best. But she was born gifted, and her parents knew so. It was a troubled time for her to grow up, but as she did she made a fair number of friends along the way, childhood friends and new friends alike. The road has been hard, but Mayren has gotten through it all. She is idealistic about pacifism on a strong note and hates violence. Over the time to the present, Mayren has endured bullying, ignorance, friendship dramas and a quiet life. But to understand her fully, her story must perhaps be known clearly from the beginning...

Mayren was born "special", and her parents noticed it clearly. She wasn't like any other child after her birth. She was quiet, but blissfully cheerful. She seemed to understand more than was expected, having independant thought by herself. Her parents were shocked to have found Mayren out of her cradle and in the kitchen with a bottle of milk. This seeming strange, they ignored this and simply put Mayren back to her cradle. Life went on and Mayren grew up the toddler stage and when she did, she confirmed her parents' thoughts of her being "special".

When Mayren was a toddler, she wasn't like any other average toddler. She could speak a little more clearer and using better words quickly, she was potty trained, she could walk earlier than expected and she had pink hair. Mayren's parents were truly bewildered by her behaviour, but they still kept to her like family, accepting her talents whether or not they were abnormal. But even so, they still didn't know what was with Mayren. After the mysterious incident of floating teddy bears and other toys, they took Mayren down to the nearby doctor to check up on her behaviour.

What they found out was that Mayren was indeed special, not like any other child. The doctor ran harmless tests on Mayren and the results clearly said that Mayren was Psionically potent. Mayren's parents knew what Psionics were, as they remember the news claiming the 500th Anniversary of the discover of Psionic energies. They felt a little afraid after the results came out, but the doctor assured them that with Mayren's light hearted behaviour, they shouldn't fret as long as they took good care of her. The doctor still warned the couple of the possibility of Mayren excercising new powers. With that, the semi-relieved parents took Mayren home and continued with life, cautiously watching over their child.

Mayren didn't show any further Psionics until the stages of childhood. When she began going to school, she showed great talent in art and writing classes. Her artworks and writing pieces were extraordinary to behold. She had a more complex and detailed imagination than any other child. Although her writing pieces were nothing more but excellently written stories and poems, her artworks had a more stranger aura about them. Occasionally, her drawings depicted of events, such as the principal entering the classroom, with the event ocurring (in this case, the principal walking in) shortly after she finished the drawing. This strange phenomenon bewildered the teachers after it happened a fair number of times, but they dismissed it as strong coincidence.

But only shortly afterwards, Mayren's powers moved on a little more. Students and teachers near her could hear her voice... Her thoughts. Some of them even did things they didn't intend. Soon afterwards, students and teachers found themselves doing things faster or slower than they realised. And it was all when Mayren was nearby. Being a cheerful and blissful child she was, she didn't know of her Psionic potential and was confused when people began to stay away from her. The students thought she was a freak, and the teachers more or less thought the same. They were all scared of her nonetheless.

Mayren's parents were of coarse the first to know. After a while, her parents spilled the beans and explained how Mayren was a Psionic, unbeknownst to them that Mayren was only just outside. Mayren was curious and looked up what Psionic was. She discovered its definition, and she was excited, but frightened at the same time. After that night, Mayren became accustomed to the vast amount of attention and fear that swirled around her as she moved around the school. She began to become lonely at lunch breaks. But lo and behold did some curious and brave youngsters go near her. At this point in time, Mayren was elated because she finally found friends she could talk to and hang out with. Because they understood her.

Time went on and the cloud of fear swirled around Mayren, rumours had begun to spread about Mayren as her generation neared the teenage years. But Mayren payed no heed and went on with life. She enjoyed drawing, writing and cooking at home whilst spending time with friends at other times. Finally, she went on to highschool and Mayren's attributes fully bloomed. She focused on everything she loved when she got to highschool, achieving high grades and excellent teacher comments. At these times, Mayren had loned to focus and control her Psionic powers. But even so, the shadows and rumours of her childhood past followed her into her teenage years.

Mayren began to get picked on, bullied in the school grounds. Some faces from childhood, some of them new ones. Nonetheless, Mayren was shunned, isolated and ignored. There was no longer a fear of her, but a more dislike of her unique persona. Mayren was picked on because she was smart, because she was good, because she was special. The bullying started from petty thievery of Mayren's possessions, but over time they began to get worse. The packs that bullied her were many, and they all ganged up on Mayren when she was alone. Over a long time of being bullied, it began to stress Mayren, a difficult feat. It continued on to the point were Mayren was just about to snap.

After another day of school and in the end, being picked on, Mayren went home a broken, shattered and crying mess. She avoided her parents and went to her room and shut the door, locking it tight and collapsing onto the floor before she could even take one step across the room. She lied there, sobbing bitter tears on the floor for hours, even after dinner. Her parents finally got worried and unlocked her room with a spare key they would never use. They found Mayren, still sobbing quietly, her things just tossed on the floor nearby. Her parents finally took the time to comfort Mayren and coax her. For it had been a while since they last been together like this, like a real family.

After that night, Mayren steadily began to get better. Her friends had heard about what happened and decided to stick with her whenever she needed them. After those years in highschool, Mayren never forgot the love her family and friends showed for her. After so long, Mayren was back to being like she always was. Generally happy, optimistic and cheerful. Finally her highschool days ended and she went home to her family. Tme seemed like it was going be kind on Mayren's life, time to spend with family and friends, time to spend on her favourite activities and hobbies, time to do as she wished.

But finally came a dreaded time. Mayren's family had taken an unlucky step and the greedy consuming bills piled up and they had gone into debt. Mayren saw how distressed her parents were from a close distance. She saw the looming face of sorrow before her family, her life. At this moment, she had an idea. If she could find her own path, then her parents had less to take care of, and they would be able to work out of their debt. At this moment, Mayren packed up what she needed and finally said goodbye to her parents. She finally set out for the open cityscape before her. In her heart though, Mayren thought it was inevitable. Because in her heart, she had always wish for an adventure.

A few days after that, Mayren heard of a strange "Game", where the winner gains unbelievable rewards. Only one of these rewards did Mayren have an eye for. The chance to have a safe and eternal living for her district, for her family and friends. At this moment, Mayren quickly followed the stories to find out about this elusive Game. She may not know that it was a dangerous and shadowy game of lies and deceit, but it is her determination that will get her through to the end. And this is where her story truly begins, as she searches for one of the Game Masters and their strange "symbols".

° ●Personality:
Selfless, Caring, Compassionate and Cheerful, these are a few of the many words to describe Mayren. She will avoid taking another life or severely injuring another. She is quite bright and optimistic, creative and clever, enjoys reading, drawing and writing. She is quite pacifist and strongly dislikes combat, violence and war.

° ●Agenda:
Mayren cares not for the rewards that so many other people seek with greed. She seeks freedom and safety for her family, and nothing more. With her Psionic abilities, Mayren seeks only to stun, not kill her way up. Her selfless personality may be a blessing when it comes to aiding friends, but in this game where friends are just as much as enemies, this personality is just as much a weakness.

Mayren holds close to her heart the memory of her first gift from her parents, a gold pendant (See the Pendant Mayren is wearing in her Appearance). She lost this gold pendant to the bullies of her highschool and she misses it so. Her symbol will morph into the exact same pendant.

Mayren has no combat skills whatsoever. Despite this, she makes up for this in higher Psionic Potential, intelligence and creative speech and thought. Other skills that may not be useful in this "Game" include drawing, painting, sewing, reading, writing and roleplaying (Ironic, no?).

° ●Talents:
Mayren is talented with her Psionic Powers. Her powers are various, but they are limited to her Psionic consciousness. She can't use them too much, or she'll exhaust herself and faint, even possibly faint if used over the limit. But her influence on time's flow is unique to her. Mayren is gifted in her drawing and her insights relate to this. She is a logical thinker who can deduce things quite well.

What Mayren lacks in combat skills and all else that might've been helpful in her search are strong Psionic capabilities. She knows Telekinesis, Telepathy, Influencing and Dominating Minds, Insight (Drawing coincides with this) and Time Manipulation. Mayren is able to foretell events in a time frame of 1-Hour maximum and she is also able to influence the flow of time around her and/or on other people (Slow or Hasten). In particular, Mayren uses Insight commonly as it is more her specialty.

° ●Appearance: Tall caucasian male, untanned skin and brown eyes. Black hair, slightly long but less than shoulder length; neatly parted bangs and tied in the back. Wears a black suit, unfitted and wrinkled, not fully buttoned but not to the extent of looking careless or unclean. Shoes are also black dress shoes, unshined and slightly dirty. Wears glasses and can be seen smoking a cigarette when allowed.

° ●Background: Ozymandias is the eldest son of the Jones family, old money who hold positions in politics as well as leading criminal organizations. Although not the richest or most famous, their network of connections is second to none and a little blackmail can go a long way when done right.

Although he could have learned the detailed nuances of the "family business" Ozzy, then Howard, felt inclined to establish something of his own first. His parents were supportive, knowing that such an experience could increase his contacts and wealth and he would know better than to return with only a list of failures.

Living with a different name was his own idea, to avoid causing bias should he try to deal with certain circles, and he actually had it legally changed before leaving. His choice was based on a poem refering to "Ozymandias, King of Kings" and is a reminder that he must build his success to last. Currently he has made a small name for himself on the street and lives in mild luxury contentedly. He remains on good terms with his parents and reports to them any significant events but never asks for any support and only explains afterward so they cannot help him without his permission.
° ●Personality: The simplest description of Ozzy would be be the single word arrogant. Although he is also loyal, persistent, and cautious, he does believe in his own greatness very devoutly. That's not to say he cannot accept someone being better than himself, but he refuses to admit so without evidence and firmly maintains that "I could do better, but I am too busy to practice that."
° ●Agenda: Ozzy heard of the game through his various unsavory contacts, some made himself and some he knew from before. His immediate response was "I can win that" and "It would be a worthy accomplishment," before moving on to thinking about the inherent reward and the potential influence that would come from being a champion. Of course, he had no difficulty getting involved. (note that he would not mention the game to his parents without dire need.)

° ●Skills: Ozzy is, as mentioned before, rich and well connected in both the government and the criminal organizations, although less so on all counts than his parents. Additionally, he is well educated in deception and strategy with real experience to back it up. Unfortunately his family was swindled and instead of being sent to a relatively safe district they were left in an utter war zone. At the age of 7 Traze watched as his parents were murdered by criminal underlings. However as the murderers turned their sites to Traze as a reflex his body reacted on its own. As they crept down the hallway in his direction he stumbled backwards and fell through the wall, much to his shock as well as his would be captors. Traze had indecently activated an inter-dimensional portal on instinct alone.
The portal took him to a different time and dimension, one more frightening than his original. There the world was even more stripped down, and strange alien machines had all but destroyed humanity. There he was taken in as a child by a human resistance group. For many years he trained and fought the losing war against this alien force. With time he all but forgot his original dimension fighting with all he had to protect this new one. Now 18 he fell in love with a female commander named Solara. He two cared for each other deeply and as Traze rose in the ranks they worked together as a flawless team. Eventually the resistance was on the verge of finally being crushed and this version of the world lost to humanity. It came down to just the two of them, Traze had never been able to open a portal since he arrived but suddenly felt the same sensation as if he could. He quickly resigned himself to death and attempted to push Solara through the portal that began to appear. Solara though loved Traze too deeply to accept this fate, reversing the situation she forcibly kicked him through the portal and distracted the alien enemies. Once partially in the portal it was impossible to fight against it’s force and he was sucked back into the dimension he was born in.
Traze tried for a few years to increase his power and gain control of the ability to make portals and go back, all to no avail. Despite joining multiple mercenary and rebel groups, eventually he met a wise scientist who explained two important things to him; the first the portals only forward to other dimensions as his existence in them doesn’t belong making it impossible with his power to save Solara, the other thing was about a game that could possibly grant him greater powers, powers that may let him travel back and gain the only consolation prize he could imagine, Revenge. To that end Traze vowed to become powerful by any means.

To him this world lacks the unity he remembered in the one he visited. But Jason was not alone. Two years after his birth, a blessing in the form of a younger sister was born, and Jason looked over her the same as he always has. A companion to love and are for.

As Jason grew older, he grew up with the knowledge of a special trait he had. He always knew what people were intending, even before they themselves knew so. In this, Jason was always able to take care of his younger sister before people could even "think" to hurt her or Jason. He never knew himself what his 6th Sense was at the time, but he was thankful to "a higher power" that he had it. He thanked "God" for his gift that had helped him take care of him and his sister.

The years went by, Jason turned out to be cheerful and a bright, outgoing and charming kid. It wasn't to say that his school years were so perfect for him, and a couple of suspensions and plenty of detentions testify as such, but Jason see them as well deserved. As long as his sister was safe, he cared less about his own troubles. Time continued to go by, and finally as so it would be, Jason left school early, and when his sister finally finished school, the two set out to find their own path.

But it wasn't to be so. One day, Jason had to leave the house for the time being, and for that one hour he left his sister at home with their parents. In that same hour, Jason had managed to do what he never would have done if he had known. He had managed to forsake her sister to the cruel claws of the world. Afte that single hour, Jason had returned, only to find that there were agents of the government tearing apart his home. Jason ran inside and found his parents on the ground dead.

Suddenly, he saw it. Jason saw his sister being dragged away by the mysterious agents. That one last tear-stained face of fear and fright that Jason saw before his sister disappeared into the back of the vehicle, would haunt Jason forever. Jason didn't know how long he sat in what was left of his home, shattered and broken, the nightmarish vision of his sister's scared face before being shrouded by a black sack and dragged away replaying like a horror clip on loop in his mind. But for a long time Jason cried at the memory of that time.

But one day, he suddenly reformed. Jason suddenly... Changed. He seemed calm and collected again, but he was different. No longer was he bright with a cheerful smile on his face and a tone of laughter in his voice. Only sorrow... Sadness and shadow. It was this day he found his "symbol", and discovered what to do with it. He also discovered the power that came with it, and in this he saw that he had a chance. In using this power he had gained, he could join the "Game" and begin a long act of revenge against the government, but if he won the game, he would get the one thing he always wanted besides revenge. But all this isn't enough to say that he was different, but what was was his eyes. A medical condition called heterochromia, where a person is born with different eye colors. Doctors gave all sorts of reasons for why he was like how he was, but his parents both knew that it was because he was psonically potent. All the doctors' explanations never applied, because when Ali was tested for them, it always came up negative as the reason. Why the doctors never gave a firm reason was rather simple, most doctors were under government control, and seeing how both his parents were adamant protesters, of course they wouldn’t want them to learn about their ‘gifted’ child. His parents even made customed contacts for him to wear; to make him appear like any other child would. They went as far as making a fake ID for him. Then, on his 7th birthday, Ali‘s parents were murdered in front of him by a government mercenary, who was sent to kill people involved in a recent rebellion. Ever since this event, Ali has harbored deep feelings of hate and resentment towards the government. He was taken in by an old family friend, Aileen Peterson, at least that was the name she went by. While living with Aileen, he developed a new identity. With this name, he enrolled in the army. Ali hated the government, but he joined in their army to learn how they worked, what they did, so that he'd have a better understanding and know how exactly to enact his revenge. During the training sessions he did well, and once he decided he had learned enough, he left.

Marassa Krolor was born in a second generation of a family of mercenaries, her family’s legacy is known in most districts around the planet. Everywhere stories are floating around about the killings done by the Krolor. The Krolor family were known as bounty hunters, they took any job as long as the reward met their standards. Their ruthless and vile ways scared many men and women for a good portion of two decades.


Mara, being born into the family, was supposed to take over the leading position one day. She learned the most efficient ways to kill someone, the best way to hunt people and to find those who wish not to be found. Her ‘education’ halted when she was around 15 years old. To say a family of mercenaries operating with terror striking precision had a few enemies here and there was a huge understatement. Families looking for vengeance and the government were their top two enemies.


Even though Mara was taught not to be naïve and was ripped off her innocence at a young age, she never truly believed anyone would actually be able to harm her family. She was in for a huge shock when she came home one day from a mission to an empty mansion blood spilled everywhere. Mara immediately knew what had happened, the state their mansion was in was enough evidence. There was no body, not one. She did not witness how they had died, how maimed the remains of her family members looked like. However, she was certain they had been annihilated.


The lack of evidence of her family’s slaughter(meaning no bodies) was the reason she barely mourned her loss. She just ran away, her father had told her what she should do in case something akin to this would happen. “Run to district #4 and look for the house with this symbol” Her father told her with no other explanation. She knew not to question it. The symbol he referred to was her mother’s family crest on the necklace she had inherited from her mother. Mara had never been told exactly what had happened between her parents or how her mother died (they told her she died giving birth but Mara never believed that). But they did tell her about her mother’s family whom had shunned their daughter for running off with a scumbag like her father.


At age fifteen and without any clue what to do she ran off and found the house with the symbol. The house was empty and in dire need of a cleaning. Mara discovered that this house was hers and found a small amount of money inside the house. First thing that she did was change her demeanor completely. She cut off her long black wavy locks into a boys style and dyed it platinum blonde. She bought blue colored lenses and even went as far as changing her name. There was no longer any Marassa Krolor. She named herself Thea and even ‘aged’ herself by five years. No one could really tell the difference as her body had developed in a young age.


The first year she completely devoted herself to finding the culprits of her family’s demise. After approximately 14 months and two weeks she finally found the clue that led her to the answer. It was done by a group of special forces trained by the government. Now that she knew who was responsible, she planned her revenge. The following nine years she lived a double life. Most days she lived as Thea working in a small bakery but she never failed to hone her skills and earn a few more bucks with some bounties. This was done with strict apprehension and complete anonymity.

Gaiae could be described as, with the lack of a better term, colossal in both height and overall size. With nearly two meters of height and built like a mountain, Gaiae bears more resemblance to a bear than a man. His age shows, the wrinkles on his face very much pronounced and half his originally raven hair dyed half silver by the passing years. He wears his curly hair in a ponytail as an effort to keep it out of the way. Drawing attention off of his wrinkles, are his steel dark brown, almost red, eyes. He also has a stubble on his face.
He dresses himself simple: a white wifebeater tucked neatly into his pair of black velvet jeans, with a pair of tipped dress shoes on his feet. His belt holds many holsters, where he keeps his pair of large combat knives and gun. On his shoulders hangs a long, furlined leather coat, his arms kept out of the sleeves so he can quickly dispose of the heavy coat if need for such arises.

Orphaned at a young age, having grown up in a war between districts, Gaiae had been raised alongside the gunshots and piles of corpses used as barriers. He had forsaken his innocence, and perhaps even his humanity, at the tender age of 14 when he first took a fellow man's life. A pull of a trigger was all it took. The andrenaline coursed through his veins, his heartbeat banging in his ears louder than any gunshot and a gripping ache in his chest signaled him of something lost forever. Something he decided was a weakness and a liability. He roared, he rampaged and he grew up a behemoth of war rather than a young man.

Yet they lost. Escaping the district with the pain of loss burdening his mind, he swore to become strong enough to never suffer defeat of this scale again. He travelled, he aged and he did all he could to fulfill the oath he had made with himself. But he had changed, his reasons, duties and goals warped by his corrupted feelings. Gaiae gathered support of those who lost their honour and dignity in the war and the flames of war took root once more. Facing loss once more, Gaiae abandoned his soldiers to their fates, uncaring and apathic.

She usually wears whatever she can find that is colorfull, which has resuled in many many stolen pins and bracelets, feathers etc. but despite that it looks like it fits her. It doesnt look too insane. SHe has bright blue eyes and dirty blond, selfshort cut hair, and rough sun and dirt tanned skin. She's 167 cm tall, and weighs just below 45 kilos. She is by those measuers slightly underweight.

° ●Background: Being born in a rebellious family she lost her parents to the government at the young age of five months old. She couldnt walk at the time, yet alone talk. Thankfully for her she was safe, and didn't witness it. But the worse part was that she was left to die in her house, no one knowing that there even was a child in there. Not for two days, which is long in a five months span of time.

After two days Insa was worn out and near death. She barely moved and had a high fever when Mal, another street rat just like herself, had broken into the Mayler-house and found her. At first Mal wanted to leave Insa there, but she simply couldn't. He couldn't abandon Insa like his parents had abandoned him. So he took on the task of Raising Insa as his own child. He was at the time only 7 years old. But he wasn't alone. He wasn't the only one who invaded the Mayler house that night, and after much protesting the gang that Mal was in promised to help him with the raising of Insa.

Insa grew up on the streets. She learned everything by Mal, and by the other members of the Street Nic, which was the gang name, and learned how to survive. She was dubbed Rat by the gang due to the fact that she had amazing climbing skills and was extremely pesky and good at finding food. but most of all, because she was lucky, lust like a rat. She had a family. Insa was even given her name Insa (Insane), based on her low mental aging, her chiledish ways, and her slight mental disturbance, due to the fact of growing up in so food poor environment and without a mother. He gave her toys, her verry first being a top spin toy carved out of wood, and he gave her protection towards the harsh cold winters. He gve everything for her.

During this time she learned how to survive, and learned about the society and the hatred towards the government, and as time went with the gang, the hatred grew into her as well. However, it wasn't till the unfortunate "Riot of District 12" that lead to the death of the gang that she really hated the government. There had been guards at the place. Guards who had provoked then gone to attack calling it a "Cleansing of the city from filthy rats". The gang was injured gravely, four people died. Four of her family died in that "clensing". And the rest fled at different ways, and left Mal and herself. Mal was gravely injured and it was now up to Insa to keep him alive. And luck was on her side. She managed to save Mal from death and they continued living on, however the damage was already done. Mal suffered from a numb leg and as unable to move for longer distances, and easily got colds, as well as ocational passouts. This was the cause of Mal's death, with the cold contributing...

After Mal's death something broke inside Insa. She lost all sence of danger and risks, but remained cheery and happy go lucky. She moved through the city and just walked. Walked and walked. She has since that time always been in constant movement. Since that day she has always thought of everyone as enemys. Yet she refuses to show it, wanting to believe that she could still befriend them. So she puts up the facade of happyness around everyone.

She doesn't understand basic math or even logic at times and easily forgets stuff, but she always puts up a forward looking and eager attitude. ° ●Agenda: When Insa stumbled across the rumor of a game which could bring her what she wished, she immediately thought of Mal. She joined the game by luck, stumbling across a game master, and gaining her symbol. The symbol being the Topspin that Mal gave her on her very first supposedly birthday. This lit a spark within her, that maybe if she won the game, she could bring Mal and the gang back to Life.

° ●Symbol: A picture of his wife, daughter and lover all in one picture. He knows it is that picture and he always keeps it close to his heart in a chestpocket in his shirt. He however can't see the picture for himself. Only feel the Braille on it saying: "April 2714"
° ●Background:
When he grew up his parents always fought with eachother. So he was always alone. He secretly told it to his best friend, who was so shocked about it all. That he suddenly stood up for Ceithan and shouted agains't Ceithan's parents that they should stop fighting because it was hurting Ceithan. That way his friend got involved in the fight and on accident he got knocked down by Ceithan's father who tried to hit Ceithan's mother. His friend landed on the side of a table and his skull got broken by the hit. Blood was everywhere and the ambulance came to late, his friend passed away and his father got in to jail. Leaving him alone with his mother, who then suffered from depression. She hit him a lot saying that it was all his fault. He ran away from home when he was only 16.

He somehow survived living alone all the time and he got himself a terrible job, but it was just enough to make a living off. He fell in love with a sibling of a collegue at work. So in order to get closer to the one he fell in love with, he started to talk more with that collegue. He started to visit her home and that way her sibling. He was content being able to see the one he loved everyday, and his collegue wasn't that bad to hang out with. Trouble, however, came when his collegue started to think that he loved her in more than a friendly way. As he didn't want to give up seeing her brother, he told her he did. The woman was completly in the heavens when he told her that. He started to understand that that lie might end up wrong, but he still thought of it as innocent. He just wanted to see the reaction of her sibling. He couldnt find any change in him so Ceithan gave up on him and actually agreed to marry his collegue. It was then when he heard that her family strongly hated homophiles. So he got a little bit hope again, maybe her sibling did care about him in a romantic manner but he just couldn't tell or show because of his family.

Years went on and he got himself a child. A beautiful little girl. He never learned to love his wife in a romantic manner, but he did love her for giving him a daughter. Her brother visted them even more after they got a child. He still didnt get married to get children himself, but he did love children. And so one night when his wife was out to a party with her friends and Ceithan and her brother were home alone with his daughter, her brother suddenly confessed out of nowhere. Ceithan felt like he was the happiest person alive. So before the man could run away in shame of telling what he felt, Ceithan kissed him.

Not much later Ceithan had gotten into a car-accident. He almost lost his life, but now he lost his sight. He could never see his daughter again, nor his wife or lover. He learned how to walk and run again in known areas very well as he could remember the way very well. In areas he had never been he still had some trouble moving around. But he improved faster than docters could imagine. They even discovered that Ceithan started to be able to hear things that humans shouldn't be able to hear. Nonetheless it only took Ceithan about a year to fully recover and being able to walk and run around different placed again.

The secret relationship continued but by the time his daughter was 4 years old, she busted him and her uncle kissing. With big innocent eyes she had asked him and her mother over dinner why he and her uncle had kissed. A long silence followed and then his wife got a break-down. Shouting how she knew it, how she knew something wasn't right. So he tried to calm her down but then she hit him in the face, right in front of their daughter. Ceithan had frozen up and his wife had hit him a couple more times, before he could move and run away from her. He had begged her to first bring their daughter to bed and then question him. But she was furious and thus he ran out of the house, making sure his daughter didn't have to undergo the same thing he had to undergo. He ran away from home again.

He ran untill he reached the house of his wife's brother. But when he came there the frontdoor was not locked and he got a bad feeling. When he entered the house he first tripped over something on the floor and then bumped into something that normally wasn't in the house. It was in the middle of the doorway and when Ceithan touched it he recognized it immediately. The shape of the body and the soft lips under his finger tips. Ceithan cried his heart out as he took the man in his arms. Hours later when the police finally arrived they took his body and they found a note, which they gave to Ceithan after indentifying him. A policemen had told him what was in the note with a shaking voice. In the note his lover had written how much he loved Ceithan but now that his family knew it, he had to hang himself. It went on about how much his family hated gay people and how he hang himself in order to protect Ceithan from himself and his parents. He had hanged himself in order to protect him, but little did he know what the other news the policeman would give him was.

"Your name is Ceithan Nightfall? I'm terriblly sorry to tell you this... but... your house.. it's been robbed and... your wife and child are also...." The policeman couldnt finish his sentence as Ceithan already understood what had happenend. His loved ones were gone, all of them, in one night. He had shouted why, and had cursed the world. After attending the funeral of his love and the fake funeral of his wife and daughter,(The police had never found their bodies but the livingroom was covered with blood as was the craddle his daughter has slept in), he walked around in the town untill he heard about the -Game-. For him it was the perfect oppurtunity to either die or revenge his loved ones. He decided to join.

° ●Personality: He doesnt trust anyone, not even himself. He is fearless and spontanious. He is a very good liar.
° ●Agenda: He simply wants revenge, wants to rebel against the system that has caused him so much misery and lose everything he once loved. He has nothing much to lose by playing this game, but much to win.

° ●Skills: He can knock someone out with just a couple of touches. (will be hard as he's blind now) He's very skilled with close combat kind of types. He learned those in the perios his parents were beating eachother up and when he left the house. (he visited aschool for that)
° ●Talents: His hearing is EXTREMELY good, he can hear things other people can't.
° ●Power: He can feel his surroundings, he can know how many people or objects are in the way. However he doesnt know who is who, just where they are in a radius of 10 meters. It doesn't take him much Psioconic power, but it does tire him out mentally. And let's not forget incase you didn't notice it in the background story. He is Blind, and thus he kind of needs this power at times.

Bio: Cornelia was born in a family of mercenaries. Still. her parents died in one of the attacks that were lead by the rebels towards the government. She was young enough not to remember anything. She was raised by her uncle. He was a drunk with the ideals of a true revolutionary. He wanted to change the government from the inside, even if that meant a coup d'etat. Those ideals, soon got into Cornelia which lead her to join the training camp of the rebels. The moment, she took a sniper into her hands, she knew that job would be perfect for her.

As soon as she could, she joined the Sniper team, just because she loved the art of sniping. She was always cold at her targets, as she thought of them as her parents killer, as they were also killed by a sniper. In her next year, she began to do minor works, of covering rebel leaders, soldiers, being a long range body guard, etc. They were easy jobs for her, since young she had been good at taken shots, but the only thing she regrets was a cold night were she was drowsy and due to her sleepiness, the rebels lost one of the greatest commanders they had. She could not live with the burden.

Ever since that night, she cannot forget her wrongdoing or the reason why she is fighting for. She became cold towards others as she closed the gap between her outer self and her inner self, as she tries to forgive herself. This is her obsessive year, so she has just arrived for a new carnage. In the summer, she had cleaned her favorite sniper rifle and got a new sword for her close quarters fighting.

Personality: Have you ever seen a girl that is all too quite, but is too determined to finish something? Cornelia is that type of girl. She is usually a quiet person when it comes to starting a conversation or simply answering in class, but when she is serious, she is serious. She tends to get too worked out with the jobs as she does her best to accomplish them as best as she can. She has a warm heart, but will not reveal it until someone speaks to her first. She is kind of the tsundere character, but she also understands instructions and orders the first time, which makes her a great scout and has an efficiency rate of 99%

Agenda: She joined the game to increase her powers in order to fulfill that obsession of finding who killed her protection target and get the revenge she wants.


Likes: Places that are open wide and have lots of space for running, reading, books, meditation, pagan stuff, believing in the chakras, sniper rifles. She just loves to clean sniper rifles
Dislike: bullying, sour flavors, she dislikes cats or other felines, she does not like being disturbed when she focuses and closed spaces

As shown above, Mayren has pink hair and soft sapphire eyes. The tone of her skin is fair, and she has a slight figure. She's wearing the above clothing and garments.

° ●Background:
Mayren was born on the 1 May 2699 AD, into an average life in the London District of the vast cityscape wilderness. Her parents weren't rich nor were they poor. They lived in a small house, one of the few that remain near the huge apartment blocks of the city. Mayren's life was humble and quiet at best. But she was born gifted, and her parents knew so. It was a troubled time for her to grow up, but as she did she made a fair number of friends along the way, childhood friends and new friends alike. The road has been hard, but Mayren has gotten through it all. She is idealistic about pacifism on a strong note and hates violence. Over the time to the present, Mayren has endured bullying, ignorance, friendship dramas and a quiet life. But to understand her fully, her story must perhaps be known clearly from the beginning...

Mayren was born "special", and her parents noticed it clearly. She wasn't like any other child after her birth. She was quiet, but blissfully cheerful. She seemed to understand more than was expected, having independant thought by herself. Her parents were shocked to have found Mayren out of her cradle and in the kitchen with a bottle of milk. This seeming strange, they ignored this and simply put Mayren back to her cradle. Life went on and Mayren grew up the toddler stage and when she did, she confirmed her parents' thoughts of her being "special".

When Mayren was a toddler, she wasn't like any other average toddler. She could speak a little more clearer and using better words quickly, she was potty trained, she could walk earlier than expected and she had pink hair. Mayren's parents were truly bewildered by her behaviour, but they still kept to her like family, accepting her talents whether or not they were abnormal. But even so, they still didn't know what was with Mayren. After the mysterious incident of floating teddy bears and other toys, they took Mayren down to the nearby doctor to check up on her behaviour.

What they found out was that Mayren was indeed special, not like any other child. The doctor ran harmless tests on Mayren and the results clearly said that Mayren was Psionically potent. Mayren's parents knew what Psionics were, as they remember the news claiming the 500th Anniversary of the discover of Psionic energies. They felt a little afraid after the results came out, but the doctor assured them that with Mayren's light hearted behaviour, they shouldn't fret as long as they took good care of her. The doctor still warned the couple of the possibility of Mayren excercising new powers. With that, the semi-relieved parents took Mayren home and continued with life, cautiously watching over their child.

Mayren didn't show any further Psionics until the stages of childhood. When she began going to school, she showed great talent in art and writing classes. Her artworks and writing pieces were extraordinary to behold. She had a more complex and detailed imagination than any other child. Although her writing pieces were nothing more but excellently written stories and poems, her artworks had a more stranger aura about them. Occasionally, her drawings depicted of events, such as the principal entering the classroom, with the event ocurring (in this case, the principal walking in) shortly after she finished the drawing. This strange phenomenon bewildered the teachers after it happened a fair number of times, but they dismissed it as strong coincidence.

But only shortly afterwards, Mayren's powers moved on a little more. Students and teachers near her could hear her voice... Her thoughts. Some of them even did things they didn't intend. Soon afterwards, students and teachers found themselves doing things faster or slower than they realised. And it was all when Mayren was nearby. Being a cheerful and blissful child she was, she didn't know of her Psionic potential and was confused when people began to stay away from her. The students thought she was a freak, and the teachers more or less thought the same. They were all scared of her nonetheless.

Mayren's parents were of coarse the first to know. After a while, her parents spilled the beans and explained how Mayren was a Psionic, unbeknownst to them that Mayren was only just outside. Mayren was curious and looked up what Psionic was. She discovered its definition, and she was excited, but frightened at the same time. After that night, Mayren became accustomed to the vast amount of attention and fear that swirled around her as she moved around the school. She began to become lonely at lunch breaks. But lo and behold did some curious and brave youngsters go near her. At this point in time, Mayren was elated because she finally found friends she could talk to and hang out with. Because they understood her.

Time went on and the cloud of fear swirled around Mayren, rumours had begun to spread about Mayren as her generation neared the teenage years. But Mayren payed no heed and went on with life. She enjoyed drawing, writing and cooking at home whilst spending time with friends at other times. Finally, she went on to highschool and Mayren's attributes fully bloomed. She focused on everything she loved when she got to highschool, achieving high grades and excellent teacher comments. At these times, Mayren had loned to focus and control her Psionic powers. But even so, the shadows and rumours of her childhood past followed her into her teenage years.

Mayren began to get picked on, bullied in the school grounds. Some faces from childhood, some of them new ones. Nonetheless, Mayren was shunned, isolated and ignored. There was no longer a fear of her, but a more dislike of her unique persona. Mayren was picked on because she was smart, because she was good, because she was special. The bullying started from petty thievery of Mayren's possessions, but over time they began to get worse. The packs that bullied her were many, and they all ganged up on Mayren when she was alone. Over a long time of being bullied, it began to stress Mayren, a difficult feat. It continued on to the point were Mayren was just about to snap.

After another day of school and in the end, being picked on, Mayren went home a broken, shattered and crying mess. She avoided her parents and went to her room and shut the door, locking it tight and collapsing onto the floor before she could even take one step across the room. She lied there, sobbing bitter tears on the floor for hours, even after dinner. Her parents finally got worried and unlocked her room with a spare key they would never use. They found Mayren, still sobbing quietly, her things just tossed on the floor nearby. Her parents finally took the time to comfort Mayren and coax her. For it had been a while since they last been together like this, like a real family.

After that night, Mayren steadily began to get better. Her friends had heard about what happened and decided to stick with her whenever she needed them. After those years in highschool, Mayren never forgot the love her family and friends showed for her. After so long, Mayren was back to being like she always was. Generally happy, optimistic and cheerful. Finally her highschool days ended and she went home to her family. Tme seemed like it was going be kind on Mayren's life, time to spend with family and friends, time to spend on her favourite activities and hobbies, time to do as she wished.

But finally came a dreaded time. Mayren's family had taken an unlucky step and the greedy consuming bills piled up and they had gone into debt. Mayren saw how distressed her parents were from a close distance. She saw the looming face of sorrow before her family, her life. At this moment, she had an idea. If she could find her own path, then her parents had less to take care of, and they would be able to work out of their debt. At this moment, Mayren packed up what she needed and finally said goodbye to her parents. She finally set out for the open cityscape before her. In her heart though, Mayren thought it was inevitable. Because in her heart, she had always wish for an adventure.

A few days after that, Mayren heard of a strange "Game", where the winner gains unbelievable rewards. Only one of these rewards did Mayren have an eye for. The chance to have a safe and eternal living for her district, for her family and friends. At this moment, Mayren quickly followed the stories to find out about this elusive Game. She may not know that it was a dangerous and shadowy game of lies and deceit, but it is her determination that will get her through to the end. And this is where her story truly begins, as she searches for one of the Game Masters and their strange "symbols".

° ●Personality:
Selfless, Caring, Compassionate and Cheerful, these are a few of the many words to describe Mayren. She will avoid taking another life or severely injuring another. She is quite bright and optimistic, creative and clever, enjoys reading, drawing and writing. She is quite pacifist and strongly dislikes combat, violence and war.

° ●Agenda:
Mayren cares not for the rewards that so many other people seek with greed. She seeks freedom and safety for her family, and nothing more. With her Psionic abilities, Mayren seeks only to stun, not kill her way up. Her selfless personality may be a blessing when it comes to aiding friends, but in this game where friends are just as much as enemies, this personality is just as much a weakness.

° ●Symbol:
Mayren holds close to her heart the memory of her first gift from her parents, a gold pendant (See the Pendant Mayren is wearing in her Appearance). She lost this gold pendant to the bullies of her highschool and she misses it so. Her symbol will morph into the exact same pendant.

° ●Skills:
Mayren has no combat skills whatsoever. Despite this, she makes up for this in higher Psionic Potential, intelligence and creative speech and thought. Other skills that may not be useful in this "Game" include drawing, painting, sewing, reading, writing and roleplaying (Ironic, no?).

° ●Talents:
Mayren is talented with her Psionic Powers. Her powers are various, but they are limited to her Psionic consciousness. She can't use them too much, or she'll exhaust herself and faint, even possibly faint if used over the limit. But her influence on time's flow is unique to her. Mayren is gifted in her drawing and her insights relate to this. She is a logical thinker who can deduce things quite well.

° ●Power:
What Mayren lacks in combat skills and all else that might've been helpful in her search are strong Psionic capabilities. She knows Telekinesis, Telepathy, Influencing and Dominating Minds, Insight (Drawing coincides with this) and Time Manipulation. Mayren is able to foretell events in a time frame of 1-Hour maximum and she is also able to influence the flow of time around her and/or on other people (Slow or Hasten). In particular, Mayren uses Insight commonly as it is more her specialty.

Okay. [MENTION=79]Shadowolf[/MENTION]; Your time lining for your charatcer doesnt really work, due to the fact that its 2716. The gulf war has LONG SINCE ended. ANd there have been no real wars going on with structured military, except for the attempted riots in the city. Though they usually get nullified fast before any major damage has been caused on any government property or civilians under the government.

Just one question ._. you say we're gonna characterswap I LOVE that idea... but how are you gonna do that when some person makes like 9 characters and others just 1 because they are comfortable with just one .___. yeah jus wondering about that because i don't think I'll be able to handle 9 characters at the same time. Maybe two oe three but that's really the max for me and if others gonna make reaal lots then I won't be able to handle it if I get their characters T^T
Or are you just gonna swap a few characters of that person with someone else? But then that person would still play some of his/her own characters.

They sold her to the underground. As a kid she did everything humanly possible to survive.

She begged,stole,fought and killed in order to save her existance.Over time she got good at it.
She learned all the tricks and ways to stay alive. And currently she was working for one of the crime lords as an assassin/theif.
