Nightmare Gear
It's part of it, but that wasn't the main reason. The main reason was because of Pimp. Remember Season of the Witch AG by Placa ? Pimp was an investigator and he investigated Emeralda first then Geoff. Now, that made me question the ability of well-known players to be an assassin. Why do people investigate them first? Because they are scared of them? Paranoia that they will own the game and lose if they are on different teams? If it's the normal system wherein a person is an investigator, then for sure Emeralda, you and Geoff will be top in the list to be investigated and I for one won't let you 3 be on the same team because of that. That gave birth to this system. Inspiration struck me. What if Everyone controlled the investigation and it's covered with numbers? What if they lose the ability to investigate the person because they see him/her as a threat and they want to make sure they're on the "same team"?
In Kagome Kagome AG I actually had to attack my own teammate, TRC, just to make it look like she's one of them. It was a risky move gagging her but it worked. She held the alibi for 6 days until Jarrett did a surprise forced lynch. If in a Simple AG the team is composed of players like You, Geoff, Emeralda, TRC, Poene etc. the team will probably be screwed no matter how good you are if the investigation was held by a person who base his/her investigation list through reputation. Did you know that until the last minute I was planning on making you, Geoff and Emeralda teammates just the 3 of you without the Tank Ability? 3 numbers and then repeat but no... I hesitated because I feared that it's too much. 3 people without Tank... but 4 people with tank is too much as well, it should've been 4 people without Tank but it didn't matter because they didn't need it. If I re-host this again (w/c right now I doubt since making puzzles everyday is a tough one) I'm going to implement a rule for the assassins. Rules that'll change how they plan and think, Specific Limitations.
