So they place a corpse near a place where there are a lot of birds and let them pick the flesh from their bones? Well I guess thats one easy way to get rid of a body without burying it or burning it.
Sounds like a major plague waiting to happen. But i guess if the birds get rid of the bodies quickly it is a sound practice as over time you would run out of places to bury people if you just kept digging in the ground.

Do you refer to this going on in the lack of human influence or with it? I'm sure you're smart enough to be well aware that sky burial is a natural progression for any carrion in the vicinity of predatory birds.
