The second part of your post, when Cornelia and Sathre return to the cave - does it occur hours after the meal that David/Violet/Lara are having, or does it happen at the same time? If it happens at the same time, then how does Kiba say that he'll be gone for a few hours, but then come back into the hall a short while later?
