Here are the rules for the Writing of the Fortnight (WOTF) contest.

Please read them thoroughly and follow them!

Submission Rules:

1. Your entry must have a maximum of 2,000 words.

2. This is a PG-13 forum. Please do not write anything offensive (be it gore or pornography).

3. Submit only original works. Severe action will be taken against entrants who steal others' works.

4. Submit only new works. Please don't reuse old works!

5. All entries are to be submitted to me, PiFace314. Don't worry, I won't sabotage anyone!

6. If the WOTF thread is not closed by the end of a fortnight, please inform one of the Soul Mods (PiFace314, Hadriel or Shadowwolf) so they can close it.

7. You can only submit one entry. If you decide to submit a new entry, please make it clear that the new submission is replacing the old one when you PM me.

8. PMs should be entitled "WOTF #___(whichever WOTF you are submitting for)". Please keep your work in spoiler tags.

9. If your entry is too long to fit into one PM, add a "(Part 1)", "(Part 2)", etc. to the end of your PM title.

10. Do not include hints as to who you are in your entry! Fairplay is important!

11. After the results have been announced in the particular WOTF you participated in, you can post your entry in your Writing Gallery if you want.

Here is the basic structure of the WOTF contests:

The contest opens for a fortnight (that's two weeks). In parallel to the competition, the voting thread for the previous contest will also open, and the voting thread for the theme of the next contest will open as well. After voting ends, a thread with the result will be posted, and the winner's entry will be added to the Hall of Fame!

Voting Rules:

1. Don't vote for yourself (and yes, we know if you voted for yourself)!

2. Only vote once.

3. Votes should be in bold, for clarity's sake.

4. Please disable signatures when posting your vote.

5. When you vote, you must provide a reason for your vote. "It's cool" or "I like it" is not a good reason.

6. Don't go about excessively flaming the entries you didn't vote for. People would rather hear why you voted for a piece, not why you didn't vote for a piece.

And most importantly,

Have fun!

If any of you have any questions, please PM either me (PiFace314) or Hadriel.
