Samurai VS Knights

I believe the average samurai is better than the average knight because knights usually use heavier equipment than samurais.

The result is that more skill and strength are necessary to compensate for the lack of mobility. Samurais just have to focus on moving into attack zones or even blind spots to excute their opponents.

However, the best knights are probably better than some of the best samurais because they can overwhelm them using significantly better weaponry and armor.

Samurais did have muskets, cannons etc. So if you battle with what you have, Samurai will blow the knights away.

It is difficult to say as they come from two different parts of the world.

While the samurai had flexible, light, but still strong armor held together with straps and their sword.

The knights had to wear armor protecting them against bolts and musket bullets, many armors have a mark of a test bullet which was fired to make sure the armor was strong enough. This requirement made the armors huge and inflexible and the knights had to be mounted on horses.

So while the samurai relied on flexibility, the knights relied on the strength of their armor.

I would not be able to say who would be the victor, without seeing a match between the two and since the time of the samurai and the knights are over it seems to be quite difficult to arrange a match. ^^'

the heavy gear knights wear are slowing them down, as for samurai, faster and more skilled i think
