Wow, that was a loooooong time ago. It was either Sailor Moon, or My Neighbor Totoro. There is a SLIGHT chance it was A Journy Thru Fairyland, but I doubt it.

My first was Dragon Ball Z as a little kid, but I never considered it to be anime, I used to think of it as a cartoon, but after watching Naruto (first anime I ever got into) I realized that DBZ was actually an anime. Second anime was Full Metal Alchemist, then Full Metal Panic, then Ouran High School Host Club, and now Hayate no Gotoku.
