If you haven't seen it yet, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is insanely good. I'd also recommend Death Note (my personal favorite anime) and Code Geass if you like dark/thinking anime as well.

I heard some rumors on some forums that another season was in the work, but I don't think I've heard any confirmation on the matter. It certainly would be great to have a continuation of the series and see Sousuke and Kaname's relationship grow.

My first was technically Dragonball Z (well, the first anime I actually got into and actively pursed/downloaded), but the first anime I ever saw was sadly pokemon :(

KARAS, Hayate no Gotoku and Higorashi no Naku Koro ni.

I think it's a pretty decent anime. I only picked it up because i didnt have anything else to watch and was pleasantly surprised. Characters are well developed and the humor is very light-hearted.

This show is extremely hilarious. I really can't think of any show where I've literaly fallen off my chair laughing this hard. As far as comedy animes are concerned, this show is without-a-doubt my favorite, closely followed by Hayate no Gotoku and Full Metal Panic - Fomoffu.
