White position is better, but the crucial blunder at 21. Rae1? turns everything upside down.

As it allow black a tactical shot to be the one winning a rook instead.

White missed taking the free rook to wrap up the game.

Luckily for white, black is on time trouble despite ending up with a superior position.

but if the game had continued and you were black, what move would you have done?

I was thinking of moving the rook to E6 as the best move, but time ran out on me

You're position is winning anyway, white was completely hopeless.

The simple move Rxd4 is the best, it simplify the position and leave white with zero hopes.

ah, i see, just take out the bishop by sacrificing the rook.

Why i wanted to go to e6 was so that the bishop would have a line of attack at B6 but now i see that was a bad move.

Thanks for the help

Would you have changed anything in particular if you were black in the game?

Take out the bishop and he'll take it back with the other pawn.

After that move your King to the pawn that take the rook.

If white pushes b6, take it with your dark square bishop, and he'll take back with his King.

From there, white King needs three moves to reach your light square bishop.

During this time, move your King to block the pawn that gobbled up your rook previously.

Once the white King reaches b8, just move the bishop anywhere along the a8-h1 diagonal.

Once white makes a Queen with the a7 pawn, sacrifice your last bishop.

Now, you can Queen your pawns at leisure since the last white pawn is near or blocked by your King.

People tend to give up if they lose their queens early. Lack of fighting spirit.

Yeah, I bet he didn't notice your second horse, so I guess it was some beginner.

I usually ten to keep the game going to the end since you don't know if you can turn the game around, and even if you can't, at least you learn how the guy beat you so you can try it on someone else

The black is doing well.

If I were white, I would go 4.Bc4 instead of a3 and 5. dxc3 instead of bxc3. And if the black went Kxe4, I would go Qd5. ._.

Ah i see, that way my knight would be gone, no matter how you slice it, my only 2 moves to prevent checkmate would then be q to E7 or castle, which would then be followed by my knight being taken. Good move.

But say if i moved the pawn up to D5 and you capture with pawn then i move up knight to E4?

Thanks ^^

You could just move Kg5 actually, and I'll take your pawn. ^^

I'll assume that means:

1. e4 e5

2. Kf3 Kf6

3. Kc3 Bb4

4. Bc4 d5.

5. exd5 Ke4.

I'd go 6. a3 ^^

And depending on what move you would take, I would castle my king when I have the chance.

Tomorrow, maybe? xD

lol

I'm not an expert at this, so I wouldn't be able to make excellent judgements xD

For the first game...:

4. ... Nd6

That was a bad move because it blocked the d7 pawn, and because of that, it'd take several moves to release the other bishop. Moving the bishop a little bit further would fix the problem.

16. Qxc7

You should have taken the black's queen(16. Qxb3) instead of doing that. You had an extra horse on your side, so equal trades would be beneficial for your side.

For the second game...:

lol awesome pawn. xD

3. ... f6

Moving the King's pawn to block the white bishop (3. ... e6) would be better even though it would block the other black bishop's movement for awhile.

6. ... b6

7. ... Bb7

Voltorn: "What were you thinking? Couldn't you see that he's attacking your left side?"

Player on the black side: "I knew it was coming! But still..."

Voltorn: *facepalms*

For the third game:

6. ... Qc8

Pulling back the queen to avoid a knight fork on c7 (7. Nxc7) isn't really recommended because the location of the queen on d7 had guaranteed the safety of c7 already.

Fork:

Also known as a Double Attack, a Fork Attack takes place when one piece directly threatens two enemy pieces, from a single square.
16. Ng5

It's true that playing as the white force, you should keep assaulting the dark side, but it was too early to deploy your one and only knight. You should consider adjusting your wise bishop first to unlock the mighty rock for additional reinforcement.

Please don't justify me! I'm just bored. >_<

22. ... Qd8

I would take the deal, if I were black. I would take that rock using the queen to claim the d1 position, which would force the white bishop to take the black queen, and then I would move the knight to take queen. ^^

22. ... Qxd1

23. Bxd1 Nxb3

24. a/cxb3 ...

I would have an extra rock and an extra pawn. =D
