These courses closer to what you could get in school. The books and worksheets explain everything as if done by a teacher in a traditional way, including elaboration on grammar.

Wow, that's amazing! Thanks. And, sticky this. I always wanted to have a quick crash course in Japanese. My prime aim is to learn how to read some of Video-Game dialogues, in Japanese.

If they are CDs, then in what format(Iso, img) they are?

Awesome, I'll definately try this out. I took 3 quarters of Japanese at my University so I know Hiragana, Katakana and around 50 Kanji. The speaking part is what was the hardest to get, well that and the gramar.

That 10 day thing is a ridiculous though. It's not possible unless you would spend 4 to 5 hours a day on listening just to the courses. Your brain would fry. I would suggest to spread it 2 to 4 tracks a day so your brain can assimilate all the knowledge.

For beginners, a very good software its Rosetta Stone and is structured in 3 levels, focusing more on speaking/listening and has some reading/writing in Kana. Is very good for developing vocabulary and getting used to the Japaneses language structure.
I would recommend using software programs for speaking/listening an text books for grammar and writing in general.

Another program is Japanese before you know it, it uses the cards learning system, so for separate learning of verbs, adjectives etc it helps a little.
Human Japanese is another software but i didn't liked it too much.
Other software that I know of and I have tested: Talk Now Japanese! Talk more Japanese, World Talk Japanese but their too simple they won't help you to much if you're serious about it.

Books:

Japanese for everyone (minna no nihongo)
Japanese for busy people
Japanese for today
Nakama textbook+workbook
Teach yourself Japanese
Colloquial Japanese
Shin Nigongo no Kiso

For grammar:
Making sense in Japanese grammar
Japanese a comprehensive grammar
Japanese verbs at a glance
Michael Kamermans An introduction to Japanese Grammar, Syntax and Language

For writing/reading:
Remembering the kana and remembering the kanji
Common kanji by grades
Kanji isn't that hard
Kanji Mnemonics instruction manual for learning Japanese characters
The Kodasha Kanji learners dictionary
Kanji Power. A Workbook for mastering Japanese Characters

Dictionaries software:
2001 Kanji Odyssey
Essential Japanese verbs
Jquicktrans. Is a very good translation dictionary
