Well,

YMMV xD (YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary BTW)

Anyway, recommended this even thought I might get attacked by sheer haters.

Eragon, Eldest and the final book which I don't know the name.

OMFG! I remember being obsessed with Eragon and Alex Rider series. ;_; Old memories <3

One of my favourite teen/ pre-teen book is Noughts and Crosses (only the first book in the series). It was so touching. I think it was the first time I read such a descriptive scene of sex (excluding Coram Boy ?). o_O;;

Yep. The first forum I visited (ever) was an Alex Rider related one. That's when I discovered YouTube. Miss those days. /sigh.

Did you read The Power of 5 series and the detective one (forgot what you call it)? My favourite book by Anthony Horowitz is probably I Know What You Did Last Wednesday. I remember laughing a lot.

I also used to be obsessed with books based during the First World War/ Second World War. I was flicking through my mini-library at home and came across lots of books by Michael Morpurgo.

Oh, also loved Darren Shan and Harry Potter series. : D

I think I already recommended in this thread, The Power of Five.

Sadly, only read till Evil Star (part 2 of the five) and can't found the rest of the books >.<

Also, I have a friend of mine obsessed on WW-series.

The bad thing, he like the baddies (well, technically, The Austrian and the Germans are not baddy since after all, its Grey and Grey morality....)

Ahhh, it gets good if I remember correctly. I liked the one with the twins. Found the Chinese girl a bit of a bitch at times.

LOL! I mostly read stuff like Jewish family escaping from Germany or love story about a couple who are torn between private life and world war. ;P I don't think I've ever truely read a World War novel which directly criticises Germany. More like the society itself is criticised.
@moi: Why don't you just recommend Sir Arthur Conan Doyle "Sherlock Holmes" series instead -.-"
Hmm? Sorry, I'm a bit confused. You mean I should call it a series instead of stories? Or you mean it was unnecessary to state the author because everyone would already know?

Edit: And another recommendation: Persuasion by Jane Austen

Well, it is a series, right?

Collection of stories which are connected to each other in a chronological manner is a series.

Oh, I see, good point. But actually the individual stories collected in each book don't seem to necessarily be in chronological order, as far as I can remember.

Anyway, I wouldn't really recommend every single story, some of the later ones weren't that great.

And, yet another recommendation: American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

That, I agreed....

Thought the Hound of Baskerville is quite good for later novels.......

Rina : Not bad?! that book was *A* I shed a lot of tears reading that..../ :c But I'd recommend "The Kite runner" by Khaled Hosseini too~

Another book I will recommend:
Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases by Nisia Isin
Technically it's a light novel but you get my drift. Took me a few hours to read and interesting too, for the Deathnote fans :3

try "The Alchemyst : The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" series by Michael Scott, it has up to 5 books up until now, last book is going to be released next year, a very good book for myths and fantasy fans. Note, this book have loads of conspiracy :)
