We have all be in pain,

With nothing to gain,

With nothing to do except keep ourselves sane.


We have all wallowed in shame,

Shared the blame,

With nothing to do except pretend it's a game.


We have all been fearful,

When, on the inside we're tearful,

With nothing to do except put on a smile and act cheerful.


We have all felt the lashes

Inside our chest as our broken heart thrashes,

But like a phoenix we we must rise from the ashes,

And realize we are never alone.

Ali's poem's #2

Lying down,
It was impossible to frown.

Next to me, was a beautiful form,
His body so soft and warm.

His head, full of blonde curls, rested on a pillow,
That seemed as soft as a white cloud billow.

His sky-blue eyes were closed in a deep sleep,
Out of him i didn't even hear a peep.

His long, pale arms were wrapped around me in a gentle embrace,
I could've sworn I had seen a smile on his face.

With my head to his chest in the hush,
Without trying, he made me blush.

His face unshaven,
Even then, he was my haven.

Such a simple silent moment seemed so unreal,
That just shows you how happy he made me feel.
