OHAIO GOZAIMASU - Correct, right? U is almost silent, right?
KONICHIWA - A normal greeting.
ITADIKIMASU - You say this before eating, but sounds funny and might bring embarrassment IMO.

Need to learn phrases.

How do you say. "How are you", beside those greetings.

Japanese alphabet is funny. Instead of having vowels and consonants, each consonants has its own vowel version

Ka Ko Ki Ke

ohayou gozaimasu
konnichiwa
itadakimasu

genki desuka- for a literal "are you good/well?"

correction, instead of having consonants and vowels you need to combine to make sounds, the japanese alphabet is already made up of sounds. in a way it makes it simpler.
