Yeah it was fake. Do you know how many months it takes for a severed hands to get back to normal? That, let alone a severed head to a whole new body.
The reconstruction is not easy; it's not a doll head that can be patched by sewing it to the doll body. There is the whole spinal column -- it's the intermediate between the body and the brain -- I don't recall any such reconstruction. The severed veins and arteries from the whole of the head's circumference. Then comes the muscles and the many other tissues. Of course, there should be the correct angles of the severed head and the body -- and a body without a head(because the brain is the next non-gland organ that does produces chemicals) is a dead one for sure, and vice versa. Plus, the head and body tissues rejecting each other as implied by Had in an earlier discussion. The brain would be already dead, now, too.
And one of the strongest evidence against the validity of that video is that freaking Indian accent! Wud wud you we did dthath (nodding head - Indian style).
From the above, I can easily infer that the whole body-head transplant is nearly impossible at this current state of our technology and medical advancement. But we can use the body-head transplant model for discussing ethics and theology and such(which we did).
