I lost three times in a row today... I need to improve soon, so some constructive criticism would be nice, thanks

First game I am white, second game I am black and third game I am white

Btw sorry that matches are long. I am a newb so I tend to think for a long time, and I needed a lot of time (15 mins)

For the first match...:

It's too random. I don't know why you moved 5. b3 o.0

It would be better if you go with 5. Kc3 or Bg2. >__<

For the second match...:

4. ... Ka6

Moving your knight to defend the bishop is okay, but it would be better if you took the white bishop (4. ... Baxd2).

6. ... c6

That's a suicidal move. You should use the bishop to block it (6. ... Bd7), forcing the white queen to retreat.

For the third match...:

2. Qe2

Moving your queen before moving any knight/bishop isn't recommended. You would end up wasting move if your opponent makes the right move (6. Kd1 is an example (Now I understand why they address knight with N, and king with K). ._.

It's alright. Sometimes it takes me more than 15 minutes to finish a game >__<

Oh I see, for the first match, yes indeed. It was random and I thought I had no other move to do. I tend to do quite badly at the start, you see (I have no clear strategy from the beginning) Thanks for pointing that out.

Also for the second match, you're right, I see that was a bit of a blunder on my part, it seems I unnecessarily lost a knight as a result.

And the third match, again, you're right. I would not have been in a position where I could be caught in the Rook-King Fork had I left my queen there.

Thank you for the help Voltorn!

Hmm, i think you need some proper pawn structure since especially the first game, is extremely random like Voltorn said. I think you also need to be aware on how to defend as well, since some pieces are left wide open.

Yeah I think you're right, thanks for the constructive criticism. Do you have any suggestions/websites that could help me improve in this field?? :)

King's gambit is also recommended.

Thank you for the vids Pyro, they really helped!

Here's a more recent game I played, which I won. But it was thanks to the opponent's blunders. Despite winning, any constructive criticism is welcome. (I was white in this game)

Just played a really amazing guy. He checkmated me really quickly. Any tips as to how I should have countered that? (I was black in this game)
