Egypt - Government has Resigned

After a bloodbath in Cairo and thousands upon thousands of protestors flocking to the streets, the Egyptian government has resigned their positions. Egypt is currently under martial law and curfew, but still tens of thousands of people roam the streets in protest of the government.

Egyptian police who were using rubber bullets against protestors have begun using live ammunition, which is causing even angrier and more violent protests. Causing a surge of violent and lethal clashes in Alexandria, Cairo and other large Egyptian cities.

Not only that but the surge of discourse that began in Tunis only a couple of weeks ago has now spread to Yemen, Algeria and Jordan, with analysts dreading a similar situation to that which we see in Egypt at the moment.

With Egyptian protestors calling Mubarak a puppet of the American government, there is little reason to believe that whoever takes power in Egypt after this mess will be particulary pro-US.
