Seeing in the latest chapters I was amazed by Nike's story, it was so sad and it's nice seeing how much Spitfire believed and hoped for him ^^ and that Kazu is ready to start doing things on his own for real *o*

But, as the Ringo fan I am, I want more Ringo >__<

Wow! No one responded to this thread? No one? Interesting. I personally didn't find Nike's story amazing. It was informative no doubt, but his story is mostly similar to the other gravity children but with a few nuances. Nike was afraid of the sky. Understandable. He had been living undeground his entire life up to that point and while the other gravity children found their new freedom liberating, Nike was terrified of it. A much more to the point allegory of the cave it seems.

Still, from the outset Nike was a tool for Sora. While I don't respect Nike for more or less, being Sora's dog for his entire life I can understand his mentality from a psychological standpoint. Faced with the sky, faced with infinity Nike was afraid that he would fall forever and lose everything. Sora raised an interesting philosophical querie. If you were never holding anything to begin with, then you can't lose anything. Believing the words of Sora and trusting in the guidance of his twin his other self Nike's course in life was cemented from there.

Of course that's not to say that Nike was fated to end up the way he did, however it does provide him with a psychological modus operandi and a course he saw little reason to stray from as time went on.

No, there's no coming back after this. Kazu definitely won't rest until Nike's dead. If he's still kicking by the time Ikki or Killik find out about Simca it's a done deal.

This is turning into Aizen level of planning, where they plan everything, even Ikki's entry into the AT world. I mean, yeah, all that just to get their sis into joining Sora? Uhm, no, wouldn't it be easier to just, I don't know, not interrupt and bring her AND Nike to aid Sora?
